My Kitchen Rules Winners - Group 3

Group 3 - 1.30pm - 3.00pm

Winning Team - Team 2

Starter - A delicious pea soup with a dollop of sour cream and a side of bread and butter.  A melt in your mouth moment to start the day.  A starter for a delicious meal and maybe it will give you a sparkle or two.  A simple dish that will wow! your taste buds. SHANESHA

EntrĂ©e - My dish is a spicy chicken breast with a piece of chilli on the top of the chicken with soya sauce.  A rice bowl to eat with the chicken and you could enjoy it with a side of bok choy.  JEFFERSON

Main - A mince pie with sweet peas, scrumptious pork mince, soft carrot and delicate pastry with succulent gravy. JAMES

Dessert - feijoa crumble. It has a crumbly feel in your mouth and the feijoa has a bursting interesting flavour.  It has a tangy sweet flavour and also tastes caramelized.  It's really warm and it instantly melts in your mouth.  DEAN

Drink - A spider drink on the top and some Fanta on the bottom.  In the middle there is a little surprise a liquorice spider.  There is a purple umbrella in the corner. JESSICA.



Another great menu here team  with some tasty treats.  I feel you took a chance on this and it really paid off.  Your score from me is 9.9/10.  You are group 3's winning team. MANU

GROUP 2 - 11.00 - 12.30pm

It was a.................DRAW!!

Team 1

Starter - Beef burgers with a bit of herbs and spices, lettuce tomato sauce mayonnaise with a side dish with an omelette with raw egg on the op and herbs and spices on top with a bit of bacon and a little bit of pork on the side. BAYLEY

Entree - A curry chicken with a peanut sauce on the side with rosemary on the top of the curry. Also with a creamy kiwi fruit on the other side. If you do not want a curry chicken you can have one of these. Curry rabbit curry port curry lamb. HAYDYN

Main - Chicken fettuccini with tenderised chicken breast neatly sliced into cubes with soft pasta with a creamy sauce with small chunks of bacon and a side dish of French fries. LIAM

Dessert - Caramel chocolate dip sprinkles of flake. Chocolate chip, vanilla, strawberry, caramel ice cream with chocolate, vanilla, strawberry yoghurt. And flakes and chocolate flake stick. SHANIQUE

Drink - Traffic light in a flute glass for starter drink. Lemon lime and bitters for entree drink and a spider for main drink and a brown cow for a dessert drink. The brown cow is coke with chocolate ice cream in it. LOURONA


TEAM 2

Starter - Vegetable soup with a side of fresh garlic bread. Shrimp cocktail with creamy mayonnaise and a side of mazua salad. Pasta salad with green beans and tuna. BRIAR

Entree - Fish and chips, the fanciest fish and chips in the world. The fish is snapper it will be deep fried with lemon on the side. He chips will be served with tomato or BBQ sauce. HEATH

Main - BBQ pork sausages with a chilli plum dressing. Italian style bean salad with mozzarella, sun dried tomatoes and green olives. JAMES

Dessert - White chocolate pudding with chocolate mousse with a side of cream. It will also have lemon with mint leaves and strawberries on the top. MATTHEW

Drink - Spicey water or chocolate chip cookie coffee drink or a rainbow drink. KANE


Two great mouth watering menus here. The judging was very difficult for this one and therefore both teams scored 9.25/10 for their menus. Great job to both of the teams. MANU

Team 1 - Winning menu

Starter - kebabs with hot spicy BBQ sauce with roasted carrot served on an oval dish. EMILY

Entree - Korean and normal pancakes. Korean and normal pancakes, put cream on top, vegetables, bacon and eggs. MARCUS

Main - crispy skin roast duck with mash potato mixed with cinnamon. Cheese and pasta with a lemon legion in the side. GREGORY

Dessert - a caramel and toffee self saucing pudding with banana and rhubarb cream and chocolate chips. JASON

Drink - A spider drink with ice cream inside is jelly tip and caramel on the top. WHOLE TEAM EFFORT.

Well done Team 1 your menu was full of flavour and well balanced. You had me salivating from just reading it. Your course was 9.25/10 you are the winners!!!!! MANU

Group two take to their menu writing stations and get inventing. Will Manu be impressed with their creations or left sadly disappointed? It's neck and neck here between these two teams.

It's My Kitchen Rules Day today!!!

Today is our My Kitchen Rules challenge day. Two teams go head to head to prepare 4 mouth watering dishes with an accompanied drink. Their menus need to leave me salivating and wanting to more. Who will win??

Check out our first class they are hard at work this morning making a delicious menu to beat their opponents.

Here is a couple of samples from our weekly challenge.

Each week we have a personal writing challenge. It started with week 1, 3 lines in 3 minutes and each week following another line is added and 1 extra minute.  We get to write whatever we like and try to beat the clock to finish it.  This is a fun and quick task that gets us thinking and writing within a timeframe. This is some work so far. 





Willy Wonka Invention Class

Today was all about the fabulous Willy Wonka himself who created tasty treats for us to all enjoy. To celebrate his inventions we got to play Willy Wonka for a day and invent our own tasty treats that might be found in his movie and stores.

It is a chocolate village with walking and talking people. Its infinte. My lollie is a.......it's succulent, chewy, and oozes its sour for 3 seconds. It's also calmirized. We get our candy from Himalis. Please willy wonka like this please!

If I worked in Willy Wonkers factory I would make never ending icecream it has 10 flavers Blueberry with sticky crunchy gummy bears. And tiny mabels filled with chocolate dirt and dark cholate wiggling worms. If bees had wings that made never ending choclate birds filled with chewy grass. And blaoons made of chewy crunchy light flaved caramel with people pooing candy.
